Google Ads Management for Garage Door Companies

Broken springs are urgent, new doors are planned. I run them as two businesses in one account.

By Tsvi Machluf October 2026
Garage door searches split cleanly into urgent repairs (a broken spring, a door off its track) and planned installs. In the 2025 home services benchmarks the Garages category pays a median $5.75 per click and about $81 per lead.

Repair and installation are two campaigns

garage door spring repair at 7am is a same-day job. new garage door cost is a purchase people compare for weeks. I separate them so installs get landing pages with styles and pricing, and repairs get call ads and fast response.

Searches I block from day one

Garage door searches pull in a lot of people fixing things themselves:

Track the jobs, not the calls

Short calls, wrong numbers and parts questions inflate lead counts in this category. I count longer calls and forms, mark booked jobs, and send them back to Google Ads so bidding favors real repairs and installs.

How I work and what it costs

I work by the hour at $50, with no retainer and no percentage of ad spend. We start with one hour on Zoom going through your account, or your plan if you are not running ads yet. Then I set up or fix the campaigns and tracking, and after that most accounts need one hour a month to review search terms, leads and budget.

You keep ownership of the Google Ads account and all the data. If you want to run it yourself later, everything is set up so you can.

FAQ

How much do garage door companies pay for Google Ads?
The Garages category in LocaliQ's 2025 home services benchmarks shows a median of $5.75 per click and about $81 per lead. Emergency repair terms in competitive cities can cost much more.
Should I advertise repairs or installations?
Both, in separate campaigns. Repairs bring fast jobs and new customers, installations bring higher ticket sales. Splitting them lets you budget each by what it earns.
Do you work on a retainer?
No. I work by the hour at $50. Most companies need a setup session and a short monthly review.
